The Dream Symposium
The Dream Symposium, launched in 2015, is a unique outreach effort created and executed by the Chris Tucker Foundation to engage elementary, middle, and high school students in meaningful dialogue around goals, aspirations, and dreams. Thought leaders, athletes, tastemakers, and more come together with Chris Tucker to share their personal experiences with students and inspire them to pursue their dreams. Each year, 500+ youth participate in this engaging platform that not only provides insight into careers in entertainment but also exciting career opportunities as entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. This signature has garnered the support and participation of leading corporate executives, celebrated entrepreneurs, Grammy award-winning singers, and entertainment moguls.
Camp Spotlight
Camp Spotlight is a musical theatre program where youth, ages 7-17, male and female, are trained by award-winning theatrical performer Stepp Stewart, along with top industry consultants and producers. Participating youth are instructed in various aspects of musical theatre, including intensives on modern and classical dance, singing, acting, musical production, and technical skills, to build their performing confidence.
In 2017, the Chris Tucker Foundation partnered with Camp Spotlight for their month-long performing arts summer camp. Chris Tucker and the foundation worked directly with nearly 100 campers from across the Atlanta metropolitan area to perform at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center for nearly 400 guests during the students' culminating event.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta serves thousands of students daily by providing a safe and secure place for school-aged children to thrive in some of the city's most underserved areas. The Chris Tucker Foundation has worked diligently with various Boys & Girls Clubs since its inception to provide additional support for youth and families each year. Providing needed resources for back to school, as well as during the holidays, has remained an annual tradition for the foundation. Since 2006, hundreds of youth have participated in various outreach activities sponsored and hosted by the Chris Tucker Foundation.
Youth Scholarships
Each year, the Chris Tucker Foundation makes it possible for young people to pursue their goals by providing financial assistance for higher education opportunities. These scholarships are for young men and women pursuing 2-year and 4-year degrees.
Homeless Outreach
In conjunction with New Life Tabernacle COGIC, The Chris Tucker Foundation has worked tirelessly to address youth and families affected by homelessness. In the greater Atlanta area, more than 15,000 people are considered homeless with even more families experiencing an ongoing transient living environment. The rise of this vulnerable community created an opportunity for the foundation to partner with New Life Tabernacle's active homeless ministry to provide valuable resources to youth and families who find themselves without sustainable housing. With the support of the Chris Tucker Foundation, hundreds of families are clothed, fed, and provided with needed care throughout the year.
